Meetings

Torrington Writers would like to encourage all writers to join them, whether they are aspiring William Wordsworths, Agatha Christies or even, like most of us, just scribblers of stories for their own enjoyment.

Meetings take place in the  room above the Library in the Castle Hill Complex on the last Tuesday of the month at 2.00 p.m. If it is sunny we sometimes relocate to the garden. For people who need sustenance we often get together for lunch before the meeting at the fantastic Fork and Feast (https://www.facebook.com/forknfeast/).

A small charge of £2 per meeting is made and we usually write on a set subject, although all pieces are acceptable whether they be poems, short stories, pieces of prose or, for the more ambitious perhaps the opening of a book….

Please join us and bring your offering – dramatic or humorous – or just come along and listen, we would love to welcome you.
